Feels good to be back in the big city. Camp went very well and I enjoyed it a lot, plus good group of kids. My group won best sketch, hah! But it was a bit like living on a different planet with no internet, phone, TV or newspapers... I didn't really miss it for a week, but can't imagine living like that for a longer period of time.

Back at uni as well. Still trying to get back into the routine. But we got a really cool assigment for one seminar - write a script based on a short story. Never done that before, but sounds like fun.

Other than that, busy week. Saw Vertigo on the big sceen yesterday and it's so much better at the cinema. Alien on Wednesday as well as a docu at the film festival on the same day. Also taking part in a media workshop on Thursdays. Me is a busy bee ;)

Anything I missed during the last week?

Perfect title for this:

What a dick. And I sorta liked him.
Props to the interviewer for handling this professionally.

I had a little visitor today.

Isn't he cute?

Very common around here, but I realized I didn't know what it's called in English. Thankfully there's google.

Well, to my great amusement, it's either a Blue Tit or a Great Tit.

I'm not sure what's worse...

This year's Easter was looking a bit bleak, since my parents are off on a vacation and most friends are off to spend some time with their family.
But, thankfully, I got a job over Easter! Yay me!
Working for an English language camp near Dresden for a week. Lotsa hiking and nature, which sounds great. Plus a friend of mine, who's a cook, is also there and responsible for the food - yumm! He makes THE best chili! And did I mention the free booze for staff? Heh!

Though, on the downside, no internet connection for a week, since we're in the middle of nowhere. I think I can survive that...

So, won't be around for a week from Sunday on.

Went to the concert last night - been ages since I've been to one. So awesome!
Still hoarse today, but my ears popped back ;)

Had a great view as well as an amazing concert. *headbop*

And clip from the concert from the band's site:

Me want!

Seen ads about for one with the Wish You Were Here cover, but this one's way neat. But damn, 85 Euros! Insane.

Back from seeing the film and man, I loved it! Wonderfully subversive in oh so many ways. I'm prolly pretty alone in loving it, but what else is new.

In any event, like or dislike the film, but the title sequence alone is worth seeing it on the big screen. Though you can also be a lazy bum and watch it here:

Bah, looks like it was taken down on most sites (including the site of the company that made the sequence). Boo, WB...
(Can be d/l-ed here, heh)

... you gotta watch more films. Or something along those lines.

I went to the White House and all I got was a lousy bag of DVDs, was prolly Mr Brown's txt message home.

How odd and utterly random is THAT?

(Though the speculation about the choice of films at the end of the article is daft. "On the Waterfront" was about McCarthyism and Kazan's great excuse for naming names, not about the Great Depression, but hey... gotta put a spin to everything.)
